Those wishes or reality are alive and well here... Trump by intent or at first by accident has breathed new life into it/them. And memories or perhaps even knowledge, are so short.

And I think he's lent an air of legitimacy to the opinions expressed

Muslims one and all are a threat; Mexicans will take us over, so build
a wall; abortions will stop if we jail women who have them....ad
nauseam.

If that's truly "like it is," I need to find another country, seriously.
