Loved Wegmans in Syracuse when I lived there in '70s & '80s. When I moved to Houston in '87 nothing here was as nice, not even the "Flagship" locations of a TX chain called Randallls. 20 years ago the grocery wars started and now there are way too many choices. ...and prices are way up too.

I did read something about Whole Foods opening a store that's supposed to
be less expensive, but I don't know what it's called. Folks here are very
excited that there's going to be a Wegman's on the south side of town. I
