[Magdalen] Name for RC communion request?

A friend who played the organ for a RC congregation got permission to
receive (since his job kept him from attending his own church). IIRC his
personal belief in the Real Presence was verified first.

Another friend had a poem she wanted read at her mother's funeral nixed by
the parish priest (it had been written by Henry van Dyke, a Presbyterian).

The RC church likes to think of itself as global, but all of its politics
are local.

You have my sympathy. Planning funerals is awful. I most sincerely hope I
never have to do it again.
