A friend came over and we all spent time talking, and I was tired anyway, so

Well, it's also 70F here in Northern Vermont. I'll be starting the garden
this afternoon - peas & spinach. Onions, leeks & brassicas have been out in
the greenhouse for a week now, and I hope to plant them in a week or so.
About 100 tomatoes, plus peppers, squash, etc. are upstairs under lights and
waiting to be potted up for the church plant sale.

No daffodils, or even coltsfoot, and definitely none of Molly's dandelions
up yet (she's due west of us and a few hundred feet lower in elevation).
Grass is greening up. however.

Time to go out and enjoy it all.

......as a 70 F degree day in April?

Alll my containers are ready, and begging to be planted.  I  wouldn't
dare do that in NE Pennsylvania until about 5 May, and I'd still be
taking a chance.

Daffodils are in full bloom here, now, and are glorious.

The Asian magnolias, especially the big one (that thinks it's a
tree) in front at the edge of the driveway (Lily Flowered Magnolia)
are showing huge, colored floral buds, as are all the rhodies.

And the European and American Larches are that incredible light
green as they "needle out" once again.


Spring in Pennsylvania.
