Years ago I worked with a person (clergy, actually) who was generally
disliked by many. Things weren't going well, and a kindly co-worker worried
about his stability, wondering if, in his misery, he might try to harm
himself.

One of the psychiatrists said, "You don't understand. He has a personality
disorder. They don't go crazy themselves. They just drive everyone around
them crazy."

And it turned out she spoke truly :-)
