When the truth is known, there are IMHO, a very large number of
especially white males who (though they'd never admit it) are
misogynistic.  It's often the same group that opposes Obama  because
there is latent racial bias, though again, they'd never admit it, and 
some of this racial bias is so deeply entrenched they don't even
realize it's there.
 
In vino veritas.  I've encountered a good dose of both  attitudes
when persons of this group have too much to drink.
