I had a brief glimpse while staying over in the Adirondacks on a 
trip 20 years ago.  We attended an Episcopal church there on the
Sunday, but I've forgotten the details.
 
That was the trip where my "greased lightning" shovel managed to

dig up three Red Spruce (Picea rubens) trees growing in a highway
ditch (about 1' each) and they are now 25 - 30 feet in my yard.
