That's funny, Kristin, because I had the same reaction, but it never occurred to me that not voting was an option!!  Comes, I guess, from my strong conviction about regular voting--it's not optional. Unless you're dead, you vote! (Though in some cases, I've heard, even the dead vote!) 
Guess I'm taking this LM thing a bit too seriously...  ;^}
