Licences are being issued for fracking this side of the pond as well. I 
hadn't heard of the possibility of methane in the tap water before but 
the processes over here may allow for venting of that.  The possibility 
of earth tremors by pumping pressurised water into the ground makes 
sense to me as you are stressing the geological structures.  Then there 
are all the other chemicals they are using which will leech somewhere.
