Looks a bit like a cherry of some sort. It would be really helpful to know
if it came from a tree, bush, vine, or what.

Subject: [Magdalen] Plant for Dr. Strang

An arrangement was brought to the church parlor recently which included
a few little branches of a plant that brought forth childhood memories.
It has a very slight scent, almost root (think cloves, or cinnamon), to
my untrained nose. I have a vague memory of pulling these little
branches off when we'd play wild west stories, and putting them in the
pot along with mimosa tree seed pods, dandelions, and grass clippings.
<grin>

But, I have no clue as to the plant. A native believes it's mistletoe,
but I think there are too many seeds to leaves, nor would that jibe with
my childhood memory, as the mistletoe in these parts is high in trees,
usually retrieved by rope or .22.

David, others: any clue? Here's a link to a photo in my dropbox:

Peace,
