Was making some fairly good bp progress, particularly when the doc
increased the dosage.

Last Thursday, I started noticing a scratchy throat and increase in the
coughing.
Sunday, I was fairly convinced hat I had come down with severe bronchitis,
which sent my bp back through the roof. Stayed home from church in case I
had a bit of contagion. Amazingly, Harrison has a doc-in-the-box open on
Sundays. After a 2 hours wait to see the doc, he confirmed that I had
severe bronchitis. Was even lucky enough to have a pharmacy open on
Sundays. 2 days into the z-pac, I am still coughing and wheezing, but my bp
has gone back down a bit. Don't know if it's enough to satisfy the
anesthesiologist, but it's a start.

It's almost amusing to listen to me breathing, the wheezes almost have a
tone sequence. The biggest problem now is getting a good night's sleep.
Last night was miserable and today I had to take my wife in for her
colonoscopy. Her doctor is 20 miles away in the town we used to dwell.
Their small hospital had technical difficulties and we had to continue
another hour + down the road. (all was normal for her - some polyps removed
with ease, TBTG)

We left at 7:30 this morning and got home about 4:30. I was totally spent
and had 2 naps before a late dinner of homemade soup. I am hoping I can
rest the remainder of the week. Surgery is next Tuesday in Fayetteville, AR
- about 2 hours away - 6:30 AM report in time, so we will get a motel and
go the day before.

Glad to see the reports on Mike.
