Glad it got there under the wire.  The cake is a black fruit cake, not 
specifically cherry but with lots of cherry content (I might have had a 
heavy hand this year.)  Thompson raisins, lots of pecans, both ground 
and in pieces, slivered almonds, lots of citron, chopped pineapple, some 
magic ingredients, spices, and lots of brandy.  It is steamed.  I have 
been making it for many many years.  Enjoy!
