The English word, sully, is also the name of an area in the Loire  Valley
of France.  (Pronounced sue-LEE).
 
By coincidence, my ancestors were employed at Chateau de Sully.   The
latter is near Sully sur Loire, and the great Benedictine Abbey of
Saint Benoit sur Loire ("Fleury")
