[Magdalen] Curse on Masons

My father was also very active in the Blue Lodge and Knights Templar, and
was chaplain of his lodge for several years. My mother was in Eastern
Star, and later Amaranth and Rebekahs. I was a Job's Daughter for a couple
of years, and belonged to the Eastern Star on and off -- my mother wanted
to install me as a member during her term as Worthy Matron. I've never
been active, though, so don't know what happens in Buffalo. We spent a lot
of time at the Masonic Temple in Terre Haute, a big imposing building. It
was adjacent to the church we attended, and on Sunday we sometimes parked
in their small parking lot. I have very good memories of hanging out in
the very large ladies' cloakroom, stroking all the furs that the ladies
wore to the meetings. My mother told me which types of fur went with which
animals.
