At least they keep up the temples and grounds extraordinarily well,

The new Temple of Philadelphia is, atypically except for the original
in SLC, right downtown among the skyscrapers. In a nod to the unique
history of Philadelphia, the Temple is quietly traditionally colonial-oid,
though
admittedly with that giveaway gilded statue of the Angel Moroni on top.
The statue itself is quite nice and is a duplicate of the original in SLC.
All the temples have it. Somehow it reminds me of the statue of the
Archangel Michael at the tip of the fleche (19th century - Viollet-le-Duc)
of the Abbey at Mont Saint Michel, Normandy/Brittany, France.
David Strang.
