Very fine!.

How I wish that our Primate or my own Diocesan clutch of Archbishop and
4 Area Bishops could have said something heartening in the wake of
Thursday and Friday's pronouncements by others.

At a meeting yesterday, our Archbishop gave a very careful response to a
priest's question about what he was to say to his people today,
including a history lesson to explain that this is but a relatively
recent hiccup in the long sweep of church history. My take on that was
'say little or nothing'. The Archb. may say something this coming
week, as may our Primate. Our P-I-C asked if I had followed the news
and I responded "Had I?!?!?!" He, not surprisingly, thought it best to
say nothing, end of conversation.
