I once considered getting one (ONLY ONE) ear pierced  when I was 17 and a
couple of other guys I knew had them. This was very radical and unusual in
1968. I ultimately decided against fighting that battle with my parents and
have never really contemplated it since, nor any other body parts. No
tattoos either.
