Some monasteries built just before the Vatican II changes have side
altars that were not used for long, or never used. I'm fascinated with
these where they exist. Two such places are the crypt of the monastery
church at St. John's Abbey, Collegeville, Minnesota; and the side
chapels off the side aisle at St. Gregory's Abbey in Three Rivers, MI.
