I haven't read it yet, but I own it and will try to plow through it before November.  *Tip and the Gipper: When Politics Worked* by MSNBC's Chris Matthews.

We need two healthy parties so WORKING TOGETHER can happen.  When one side controls all (like Dems 2008-2010), stuff gets done, but backlash is a guarantee.  A More Perfect Union should be based on trying to avoid backlash whenever possible.  (I think.)
