Interesting observation that is probably true.
 
Several physicians I know make hospital rounds in the evening
so that they can avoid talking to other physicians!
 
On a tangent subject, I reviewed an article in my CME material this
week that made the following observations:  Younger physicians  tend
to communicate with each other by electronic means, whereas older
physicians tend to communicate by phone, or face-to-face.
 
What's happening, then, is that an important test result is put on
line by, say, a young  physician, and the older physician who  had
ordered the test is waiting for the phone call or face-to-face  encounter
that never comes.  Fully one-third of critical test results are missed  or
significantly delayed because of this according to the article.
