>>>I always end up with a variation on a BLT when I order at Subway.
The only different aspect of this sandwich is my request for hot
peppers. Except for the peppers (which would be horrible torture for
those Scandinavian immigrants and first generation folk in the
Upper Midwest) it ends up being close to one of my mother's standard
lunch sandwiches.<<<
I sometimes get the all veggie sandwich. You gotta bulk it up, of course, to make it filling, which if you're a carnivore by the next morning you feel like you haven't eaten the night before regardless, but still, orchestrate it right and it's rather nice. For me, even when ordering a regular sandwich, a double layer of tomato is often required, to make sure that particular layer comes through. Add onion, bell pepper, pickle, pepperocini (don't know if that's what you mean by "hot peppers", Doc, as they also offer jalapenos), mayo, mustard, oil, vinegar, salt, and pepper, and joy is had by me (unless I forget my Prilosec).
