Thanks to Congress, television stations still broadcast a very receivable
signal. All you need is an antenna. Mine is a white plastic board with a
cable connection to the television set. I think it cost under $30.00. I get
around forty channels. All for free.
One of my neighbors uses a pair of rabbit ears he bought from Amazon and
they work fine.
We do have cable television here, but I don't subscribe. And outdoor
antennas (and dishes) aren't legal in the city, at least in the historic
districts.
