The recorder orchestra had
its own numbers to perform. One of our best recorder instructors, John
tyson was in charge of this group, and his big advice was if you make a
mistake, DO NOT make a "mistake face." A very practical
teacher!>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I have my own recorder story. I was requested by an art history
friend at Syracuse U. to photograph the windows of the Lady Chapel
at Lichfield Cathedral, England. The glass was originally in the
Herkenrode
Nunnery in Belgium.

It took the better part of a day to get the photos done, and all the while
I was "treated" to the sound of the rehearsing recorder orchestra of
the Diocese - about 200 strong. There is nothing quite like that memorable
sound echoing through a medieval cathedral!
