There's the Service Tag, and then there is another number, and express
service code.
The svc tag is short, e.g., BN8SVT6
The express service code is  (at least in my case) one number longer than a
phone nr wi area code (eleven digits).

There is also a very long code called a Product Key.  It is so huge that it
is displayed in a series of five groups of five characters each.  No word
on whether this has both Oh and zero, or One and lower-case ELL. Mine seems
to avoid those four characters.

These are all on a tiny sticker on the back or underbelly of your PC. It
has some other numbers, not otherwise identified. You probably don't need
any of those. There is a bar code with a number under neath it that also is
just for techie service providers.
