I live (and get used to) whatever comes to me on my computer.  Windows 7 came on my home computer in Jan 2011, and I've never once had a problem, and W's still loves to update it (at least for now).  W's 7 Professional at work, also seemingly going to be around for a while.  My boy's tried every operating system ON EARTH (seemingly), and I honestly forget what he's using today.  (Emphasis, "today".)
