[Magdalen] Timely c***noscopy query.

I've had two colonoscopies and have received a different schedule for
each one's prep work. I think you're wise to "follow instructions to a
T." You want to be able to say you did so if the gastro doctor deems
your prep deficient in any way. But more likely, following the
instructions to a T will result in satisfactory-to-excellent prep.

The timings can vary from patient to patient; I think the trend is for
the type of split prep you're getting, with a break in the middle. My
first prep was an all-day empty-the-jug thing followed by my being
afraid to go to bed for fear of not making it to the loo if yet
another visit was called for. But everything did in fact settle down
and I slept some.

Bottom line (sorry)...Obey your doc unless there's a problem, in which
case phone the doc or hospital as described in the instructions.

The instruction for the 64 ounces of whoosh stuff is to drink half of it at 5:00 pm the night before (appt is Saturday 8:00 am), and the remaining half "4 hours before the appointment", meaning 4:00 am. Do the experienced folk here think that time frame (5:00 pm, 4:00 am, 8:00 am) a proper one? Seems a bit telescoped (ahem) to me, but unless I hear back from them, or you guys, to the contrary, I'm prepared to follow instructions to a T.
