I'm sad to hear about your mom Mike - memories of same for my mom still vivid. It is good that you can plan travel relatively soon for both you and "mom". Hoping for an easy path forward for planning and implementing this visit.
Gentle hug
Lynn

The last couple times I called Mom I sensed things were slipping, and somewhat swiftly. So, tonight, I finally screwed up the courage to call my brother. Seems I was right; Mom's slipping fast. He's turned her care totally over to the place she's at, in the Assisted Living section, as she simply can't take care of herself any longer. Meds, any sort of real movement, anything. (I do still think she's holding on for dear life to that part of her brain that simply WILL play bingo every single day of the week. I can just see her thoughts: "I may be losing everything else, but goddamnit if I'm gonna lose my daily bingo!")
So.... He was going to call me recently, but a thought I'd put out there months ago about the possibility of me, Anna, and Everett, coming to visit in June stuck, and she's been thinking that. I'll have to email her with a modest reframing of the expectation. (She even got the idea Anna's mom was coming too. Where the hell did THAT come from?) I'm now in a place with work and medical life where I can save some serious time, and all I need is a couple days to tack onto a weekend, and Anna and I will go sooner than later. (Everett doesn't want to go. I respect that.) And since Kenneth said things are moving so fast that I'd better do it sooner than later, I'll do just that. Elsewise, he says, there may not "be anyone left to talk to", etc.
He reiterated his commitment to call if anything major comes about. I thanked him.
