The garden area here has taken so much time and effort this spring
that planting the annuals on the deck, which I enjoy so much during  the
warm season, has yet to be completed.  I used to do all of this  stuff
myself, but gardens and flowers have become the bailiwick of my
spouse, and he insists on planting the deck.
 
I have a rule of thumb that annual flowers are not planted here  at
the edge of the Poconos after the Fourth of July.  The season is  just
too short to be bothering with plants that will just freeze in  October
anyway.
 
OTOH, Wilfredo may or may not abide by my rule of thumb!
