I love the use of "feel" in vestry minutes: "The rector described the
advantages of having the floor redone now rather than later, but Laura
felt we should still wait until next year." Minutes really don't even
need to record what was said in a meeting, just what was done;
certainly not what members "felt."

Other peeves at the moment:

"That" instead of "who" when talking about people: "We will issue a
receipt to anyone that makes a contribution."

The one that makes me craziest: errors of case that seem so basic and
easy to get right. "This new policy is a kick in the head to we who
will be paying the higher tax." I just think all understanding of case
has gone away when I hear that. It sounds completely wrong, and
should, but apparently doesn't, now, to some. "To we" shouldn't sound
anywhere near correct, even if the rule isn't known enough to
describe.
