[Magdalen] weather + garden

The apricot has been in full bloom, now mostly closing and hopefully the
sudden cold won't cause dropping.

The peache blossoms are just opening. Last night, we had a freeze so we
covered the trees - not too large yet. Another predicted tonight so they
are covered again.

We have picking a few asparagus, very early for this area. Potatoes are now
in the ground and I have part of the kohlrabi in.

Still don't have a lot of strength yet, so my efforts are limited to 30-45
minutes and then a nap. Wild violets have taken residence in my asparagus
bed. A real nuisance to get them out. And the henbit - I don't know if I
have ever seen such a bountiful growth. Have to pull it all by hand so as
not to mess up the asparagus. I have a large area to clear so I can get the
cabbage + broccoli in.

The tomato starts are going great guns; be glad when it gets consistently
warm enough to get them out.
