My limited exposure to Japanese cuisine freely admitted, I avoided
Japanese food when I was in that country. Japanese breakfasts, for
example seemed to me to be piles of twigs and acorns. Fortunately,
all the hotels had plenty of Western food.
I've always avoided sushi. Deliver me from raw seafood.
I have repeatedly heard that for wealthy Japanese families, educating
their daughters properly always includes much instruction in Chinese
cuisine which they regard highly as westerners often do French cuisine.
I never have had a Chinese meal (or Indian for that matter ) I didn't like.
