Yes Scott,

I am another of the "spin-ees" or those who are being spun off. The
CMS contract on which I work has a division of CSC(DECC) developers also
working on it. Our sub-contract is for support/administration with the
prime 8a firm who won the contract. It will be interesting to see who will
now be under the same umbrella with us.

Given what I am and have been doing, more-or-less on my own, supporting the
"Presentation Tier" in a large and growing, interconnected, multi-tier
system, I do not think I will be let go. I could be wrong.

I am barely keeping up with the job as it is! Limited backup means a very
limited fall-back position. Every time l leave, for whatever reason
(vacation, doctors orders and funerals so far this year), I am welcomed
back with shows of extreme relief. Job security???

As was emphasized in the presentation this morning - the tech world is
changing very rapidly. We get to live with that and change with it.

This is also the year I became eligible for Medicare. I am unable to retire
until I pay down family debts. I figure I need to work at least 5 more
years. Bad planning on my part!

Hugs anyway - Cady
Currently a "Technology Specialist" with HPE
Future title and company to be determined.
After 3 separate jobs last year, feeling as though I should be able to
handle this transition
