[Magdalen] Jammin'

I made my first try at strawberry freezer jam today. My favorite farm
stand has expanded their strawberry patch and added a 'you pick'
option which I gladly declined. I will pay any price to have someone
more limber than I pick the things. I turned 3 heaping quarts of fat,
ruby red berries into 14 half pints of low sugar jam. The
instructions say to let the jars sit at room temperature overnight
before freezing so I am able to admire them. I don't know how firmly
they will set since I reduced the amount of sugar below the 'low
sugar' recipe but I will use most of it on toasted frozen waffles
instead of syrup. I just like the fresh berry flavor and don't like
things very sweet. I still think it has a heck of a lot of sugar in
it.
