I don't know the answer to your question, but through the years I  dated
two male to female transgender persons (Michael to Michelle and  Andrew
to Andrea), and I didn't worry about technical terms for their  
transformation.
I just used their first names.
 
One was a high-powered mortgage banker, and the other a retired
physician and ex-paratrooper.
 
They both adored Saint Mark's Cathedral, Minneapolis, that has a
ministry to such changing persons.
