When I used to go yearly to the International Medieval Meeting in
Kalamazoo, MI, I would drive across Wisconsin on SH 29 from Eau  Claire,
then down to Manitowoc for a sleeper trip on the C & O Ferry to  Ludington, 
MI
and thence down to Kalamazoo.  There was a nice restaurant on  board
for breakfast, and it was great fun.
