Restaurants:  I'm very lucky in my neighborhood, with several very long-standing family-owned establishments.  I've only lost one, several years ago.  But the rest remain, and seem destined to be run by descendants or friends after current owners divest at some later time.  A large gamut of styles, as well.  Italian, steakhouse, Mexican, Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese, "classic American" (think a VERY upscale diner), etc.
