Yay!
And this weekend marks two years since I ruptured my quadriceps tendon. All
better now, and has been for at least a year.
I had the brace on for quite some time, with the degree of bending of the
knee increased a bit every couple of weeks or so. The physical therapists
will assign you exercises to do for your knee - a futon or mat on the floor
to lie on will be helpful while doing them. It should be mostly better 3-4
months after surgery, and pretty much totally better within a year.
Hang in there!

10 weeks (and a couple of days) after rupturing my qiadriceps tendon I
have now been officially discharged by the doctors. 30 minutes after
leaving home with a leg-brace and crutches I returned with neither to
await a call from the physiotherapists. They will oversee my care as I
gain greater flexibility and strength in the muscle. Colour me happy :-)
