I don't have strong feelings for any of this, but I will say that if one is 
 a
kneeler during the Canon, it is unfortunate that the Elevations are 
hidden from the line of sight by the haphazard derrieres of the
standers.  I don't see that it should be necessary to change  ones
custom to avoid this unhappy blocked view.
 
I think, then, to show unity of the faithful the custom should be the  same
in the parish setting.  If there is a desire for standing, then all  should
stand if able, and vice versa if there is a desire for  kneeling.
