My older brother, Jim, and I did some genealogy there about 20 years
ago.  We had only a sketchy idea of family presence there, and
that was that our great-great grandfather, orphaned when our  great-great-
great grandfather was executed as a Tory spy, was taken by his 
paternal aunt and family to PEI because of their Tory associations.
 
There were at that time 12 with our family name on PEI, and we met
them all, as they are all related.
 
We found the people gracious and charming, and the island itself
pastoral and serene.
