Most members of my family, myself included, use the French
pronunciation of "garage."
 
Somehow, however, my daughter, Wendy says, "ga-RATCH."
She also drives me crazy with "Warshington" for Washington.
 
She did go to a private school (Shattuck/St. Mary's), and
perhaps she picked this up there.
