[Magdalen] Still sick

I've had a bad cold for about 10 days now and I can't seem to get over
it. Middle of last week I also broke out in hives, probably from
stress. Work stress is part of it but most of it is dismay at US
politics. I've been hammered on antihistamines for days. This weekend
I stayed away from the computer until now and that helped a little. I
finally finished a sewing project I've had in progress since
Christmas. It's a fleece bunting/snowsuit for friends' baby and I
hope he hasn't already outgrown it. I have been so busy with work I
couldn't find time to settle to it and the damned thing had
impenetrable instructions. I've been sewing for fifty years and
finally just had to wing it. It is cute and cuddly and I hope to get
it in the mail tomorrow.

I have some sweet and sour red cabbage quietly braising and will have
it with a breaded pork cutlet and a baked spud.

I think I am going to call my doctor tomorrow and see if I can get in
to see him. I have coughed until my ribs hurt with no let up. Sadly,
I'm pretty sure I picked this up in his office since I came down with
it 2 days after I had been there for a routine visit.
