Exactly Mike - making sweeping generalizations would not achieve this, but
a carefully built, specific and objective description might reach some of
them.

It does appear from what I read that a great many people have concluded
precisely that - hence the rising unfavourabilitiy ratings and so forth -
but even if there were some way to get rid of him, the puppet masters are
still in place.

The sheer volume and force of the assault on democracy must be making it
difficult for a resistance movement to organise, but there are plenty of
hopeful signs. As in SA, you only know how healthy your democracy really is
when people start to stand up and fight for it at grassroots level.
