In the two mountain congregations I pastored in the 90's there were several of the "CCC boys," as they referred to themselves. They had worked in what was to become Shenandoah National Park and were very proud of that. One of the men never missed the annual reunion as long as he was able to go. There's a wonderful book about the CCC that came out some years ago, and my parishioners were excited about finding so many of their relatives and friends--and themselves!--in the pictures.
