[Magdalen] Brotherhood of the Cake on a Spit

I enjoyed the story of the cake.  Never heard of it before.  Loved the "Brotherhood". And then today I come across it in a novel!  

From "Uprooted":  Kasia would be rolling the beautiful fine senkach cake on its spindle before the fireplace, pouring on the next layer of batter at each turn to make the pine-tree spikes.
