[Magdalen] Magdalen digests

19 of the 121 subscribers to Magdalen receive the digest.
If I turned off digest mode it would inconvenience those 19 people.

We are no longer willing to create new email lists with digest enabled, 
but we have been reluctant to turn it off on existing lists. Threaded 
mail readers have made digest mode largely irrelevant, and in fact 
reading a digest with threading turned on is the cause of the problem we 
have been discussing.
