Dayton's, Minneapolis, besides the great animated windows,
had an animated Christmas indoor wonderland a la Disneyland.  
They also sponsored a Christmas holiday nightly parade ("Holidazzle")
in the downtown area.
 
The crowning glory sponsored by Dayton's, though, was the
spring garden extravaganza in early March when Minnesotans
were so very tired of winter.  The entire 8th floor was
converted to gardens blooming with thousands of bulbs and
flowering trees.  It was always just enough push to get us
through the winter.
