It makes me so angry that we just haven't done this.
Basic healthcare and hospitalization paid for by the feds
for a minimim payment (currently $102 per month or close).
Insurance companies stay in business offering supplemental
coverage for added fee (or free for those who make so little they qualify
for state assistance).
Patient or employer pays added fee.
All they have to do is expand the age requirement and BOOM.
Can be tweaked later.
