I have just been hired by Our Savior Episcopal in Virginia Highlands neighborhood. They are hosting a singing next Sunday. I hope to be able to attend. I have missed so many. It would be a shame to miss the one that our church is hosting.

I am there until October 1, I don't know how much longer than that I will be. They have an interim rector and I thought I was the interim organist. The interim rector's last sunday in October 1. That is also the end of my term, but who knows. He seems to think a permanent rector is imminent. I am only interested in staying as long as they need me. I haven't had a permanent music job in 7 years. My predecessor was there for 17 and is moving to Bar Harbor. The whole thing was a big surprise when I received the initial phone call and then the request for a month's tenure.

I am not taking any other jobs for the time being--altho I am scheduled to sing for Reformation Sunday at the Lutheran Church of the Ascension. they know it was a definite maybe.

Joe
