Something we almost never hear about are the studies that ultimately result in the regulated use of these agents.  While it might be wise to err on the side of caution, these agents do have permitted conditions and uses, including amount sprayed over a given area.  This is true with many drugs as well.  Digoxin (digitalis) is very useful for people with certain cardiac conditions provided that its use is kept within approved concentrations.  Outside those concentrations, its use is usually fatal.  One of my textbooks for environmental health and toxicology when working on my MPH degree is titled _The Dose Makes the Poison_.

I hope that the use of this agent is within the regulations, and if so, is probably safe.
