I had read the suggestion that Ryan is setting up for a run in 2020. If 
I were him I would be worried about physical survival as I believe three 
men in his family have died in their fifties. The other thing is, has an 
incumbent President ever been beaten in the Primaries when seeking 
reelection? We have seen them beaten in the General Election (Ford, 
Carter and Bush 41 for starters) but running and not getting to the 
General Election? Checking the sometimes reliable Wikipedia it appears 
that Filmore was defeated at the 1852 Convention but what about when 
there were Primaries as there are today?
